Here are some tips to help make sure your pet is ready to travel
1. Check with your veterinarian before you leave to make sure your pet is current on:
2. Pack Sun Screen (zinc free) for light colored dogs and cats – apply to exposed areas where hair is thin
3. Doggy Life Jackets – for all water and boating activities (even if your dog can swim)
4. Doggles – dog sunglasses
5. Do your pets have microchips that have been registered and updated? Do they have a collar or harness with ID tags? Pets can get lost or go missing during travel and while owners are away on vacation.
6. Does your pet sitter have emergency contact information? Do they know where to take your pet for emergency care while you are away?
7. Make a Pet First Aid Kit

- Leptospirosis Vaccine for dogs over 12 weeks of age (in addition to the core vaccines). Leptospirosis is a water-born disease carried by wildlife.
